Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), 20 U.S.C. Sec., 1681, et seq., states that all students have equal educational opportunity free from sex discrimination, including sexual harassment and sexual assault. The Title IX coordinator is responsible for the university's compliance with this regulation including, but not limited to, systematically monitoring and evaluating policy and procedures that effectively and efficiently respond to complaints of sex discrimination.
